Welcome to the time period known as the...
Byzantine

Bringing you back to the time period where Constantine dies and rome splits, yet where the many great artifacts live. Heres a few sneak peaks at some of the great ones still known around the world today...

The Hagia Sophia
Meaning the Church of Holy Wisdom
This dome you see above was particularity hard to make because the room is a rectangle. Here, they had to use a triangular pendentive to hold up the dome.

One of the LARGEST churches in the 2nd Golden age is St Marks.
This church was built for the body of St Mark, and has 2,643 columns The building is decorated in mosaics and had 4 bronze horses above the door way, which are now replicas and the originals are displayed inside.

St Basils
This almost candy land palace looking of a place is located in Moscow. The Onion domes on top of the towers are actually called a kokoshniki !

Alhambre
This place is litterly one huge palace! Its known for its beautiful gardens!

THE DOME OF THE ROCK
this place is very 'holy' to religious people. It has been said that Muhammad has ascended off this rock into heaven, and that Abraham brought his son isaic to be killed on this rock.
This dome is particularity special because its wood covered in Gold leaf.
